This Privacy Policy describes how ViniSud ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data. ViniSud is an editorial project dedicated to the wines, oils and food culture of Southern Italy. ViniSud is available through the official website www.vinisud.it and through the app experience at www.vinisud.it/social, which includes the content-publishing tools connected to TikTok. This policy is drafted in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").

1. Data controller and contact

The data controller is ViniSud. For any privacy request you can contact us at info@vinisud.it.

2. Data collected through the website

The website vinisud.it is an informational website and does not directly collect personal data from visitors. We do not use profiling cookies or third-party tracking tools. Our hosting provider may record technical logs (IP address, date and time of the request) for security and operational purposes, retained according to the provider's terms.

3. TikTok integration

ViniSud uses internally developed applications that connect to the official TikTok API (TikTok for Developers) for the sole purpose of publishing and managing content on ViniSud's own TikTok account (@originesud). In this context:

• TikTok login (OAuth): access to TikTok is granted only through TikTok's official OAuth authorization flow, performed by the ViniSud team on accounts owned by ViniSud. No third-party user is asked to log in.
• Permissions / scopes used: user.info.basic (basic profile information of the authorized account: display name, avatar, open id) and video.upload (uploading video and photo content to the authorized account). Where enabled, video.publish is used to publish content directly to the authorized account.
• Data we process: OAuth access and refresh tokens, basic profile information of the authorized account, and metadata of the content we publish (titles, captions, publishing status).
• Why we process it: exclusively to provide the requested integration features — scheduling, uploading and publishing ViniSud's own content to ViniSud's own TikTok account. TikTok data is not used for any other purpose.
• What we do not do: we do not collect, store or process personal data of other TikTok users; we do not sell, rent or share TikTok data with third parties; we do not use TikTok data for advertising or profiling.

4. Legal basis

Processing related to the TikTok integration is based on the legitimate interest of the controller (art. 6.1.f GDPR) in managing its own social channels, and on the authorization expressly granted through the TikTok OAuth flow.

5. Data retention

Access tokens are stored securely on our server, are not shared with third parties, and are kept only as long as needed for the integration to work. They are deleted or revoked when no longer necessary. Technical logs are retained according to the hosting provider's terms.

6. Data sharing

Data described in this policy is not sold or shared with third parties. The only recipients are our hosting provider (as technical infrastructure) and TikTok itself, as the platform providing the API.

7. Your rights and data deletion

Under articles 15-22 GDPR you may at any time request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing by writing to info@vinisud.it. We respond to deletion requests by removing the relevant data, including stored TikTok tokens. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

8. Revoking TikTok authorization

The authorization granted to our application can be revoked at any time from the TikTok account security settings ("Manage app permissions"). Revoking the authorization immediately invalidates the related access tokens.

9. Relationship with TikTok

ViniSud is an independent project. ViniSud is not owned by, affiliated with, or endorsed by TikTok. TikTok is a trademark of its respective owner. Use of the TikTok API is also subject to TikTok's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to this policy

Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
